April Wrap Up & Book Haul

April Wrap up & Book Haul.jpg

One day, I’ll post a monthly wrap up the first day of the month, instead of waiting 26 days into the new month. Why am I such a procrastinator?!?!?!? So about April….it’s seems like everything and nothing happened at the same time (does that make sense?) I had (and still have) a LOT of schoolwork and was only able to blog sporadically which then induced a reading slump. I started out the month reading a fantastic book, but then I ended up DNF’ing my first book of the year and reading a few mediocre books 😦

What I did this Month (2)

April was spent mostly putting together the super secret super project that I’m unveiling later this month 😉 Wishing that it was sunnier and wondering what happened to all of the blossoms. Gianna's pictures April -May 2016 105.JPGSeriously, it’s like all of the blossoms fell of of the trees withing the month, I barely got any pictures! A highlight of the month was visiting Lambertville and Frenchtown, NJ. While we were visiting we stopped by an adorable indie bookshop and stood in between the state of Pennsylvania and New Jersey! While I would love to show you the multiple pictures I took throughout the day they all came out blurry because I had use my sisters phone to take the pictures (long story short I forgot my phone at home.) So here’s a photo of the flowers at our local farmers market.

Oh, and I WAS INCLUDED IN THE ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF A BOOK!!!!!! I was so lucky to be a part of The Sunday Street Team for The Madison Island tour and am still in shock that I was mentioned!

What I did this Month

This month I read four books.

The Heart of Betrayal by Mary Pearson – 5 stars

Zeroes by Scott Westerfeld – 1.5 Stars

Liars and Losers Like Us by Ami Allen Vath – 2.5  Stars

The Passion of Dolssa by Julie Berry – 1 Star

Books I reviewed:

It’s shameful that I only reviewed ONE book in April, but as you can tell it wasn’t that good of a reading month.

Book Haul!

This month I received six amazing books!

Don’t Get Caught by Kurt Dinan – I was sent the paperback because I was a part of the blog tour.

Armada by Ernest Cline – I was sent a physical copy for review.

The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Adieh – I won a paperback edition from WhatSarahRead.

Black River Falls by Jeff Hirsch – I was sent an e-arc for review.

Learning to Swear in America by Katie Kennedy – I was sent an e-arc for review.

All the Feels by Danika Stone – I was sent an e-arc for review.

Overall, April was a great month. I was fortunate to receive six incredible books and to have been mentioned in a book! I promise that the next wrap up won’t be so far into the month 😉 So tell me, what books did you receive in April? Did anything exciting happen? Did you also receive any of these books? Let me know in the comments!!!!

    1. Well, it’s actually not that big of a surprise, Say Hello To Summer Book Releases was the actual “big” surprise. But don’t worry, there are definitely going to be things to look forward to!

  4. Yay for getting tne book acknowledgment! I downloaded a free copy of Zeros from a newsletter recently, and was all excited. Maybe I’m not so excited now! Ha ha. I love the woven books photo. I am not surprised it was viewed so many times. I am a little late to this post, so I will say… I hope you are having a wonderful month of June so far. ☺
