Usually I don’t participate in Read- A- Thons is because…they are ridiculously short and they have too many rules. But, after seeing sign ups for this Read-A-Thon ( which is hosted by Val at The Innocent Smiley and Ely at Tea & Titles) I decided to sign up and join! This year, the read-a-thon will be from July 9th to the 16th! You can sign up here.
The Readathon Rules:
Look at the books you own, either physical, e-book or ones you’ve borrowed from the library and pick out a few you really want to read, or feel like you should read. It’s up to you how many you pick, personally I’d pick a few more than you expect to be able to read in a week. Example: if you think you’ll only read two, pick out five books or if you think you can read seven, pick out ten.
Make a list of these books on your blog, or make a video, or a Goodreads shelf or post a picture on Instagram—whatever is easiest for you. Then get friends, other bloggers/booktubers etc. to vote on which books you HAVE to read.
When the readathon comes along, you read the books in the order of most votes. For example, if one book gets 10 votes—you read that first, then the one that got 7 and so on. If there’s a tie, then it’s your preference. The goal is to read as many as possible.
Obviously, I’m not going to read all of these books between July 9 -16th. So I decided to add my own twist and make this challenge more into a “ Victoria, you’ve been saying forever that you are going to read these books and YOU WILL finish at least half of this list before the end of the summer read- a-thon!”So for this challenge, I’m only going to read around three books but for my own little challenge, I want to read all of these books!
So vote for one book in each category that you want me to read, and if there’s one that you REALLY want me to read vote twice and let me know in the comments!!
P.S. The little stars next to a title means that they are arcs for review, so if I do read them there will most definitely be a review posted for that title.
